Class Information
Basic Yoga
This class is appropriate for beginners as well as more experienced students of yoga. The focus is on learning yoga postures in a supportive environment with ample direction and/or hands-on adjustments. This is a yoga practice suitable for all levels of experience.
Basic Flow Yoga
We will combine sustained basic yoga postures, with flowing posture sequences to create this energizing class. You will follow the rhythm of your own breath as we move through the postures. Come, have fun--breath and rejuvenate.
Gentle/Restorative Yoga
This class offers a luxurious, nourishing practice that encourages students to slow down and notice the subtle changes that occur within. This class can activate the body's natural healing abilities. The postures are done in gentle flowing movements. We begin with standing postures and slowly work our way down onto the mat - no up & down. Who are the students of this style of yoga? Those who want to deeply relax or relieve stress; those with limited range of motion; new students; and those wanting a contemplative practice.
Prenatal Yoga
Yoga is an excellent exercise option anytime but especially during pregnancy. This class is open to female students, pregnant or not. The practice of yoga can help soothe aches and pains, reduce stress, teach you to relax and help prepare your body and mind for the stresses of daily life and/or the upcoming events of labor and delivery and the demands of motherhood. The focus of this class is on preparing for these events, releasing tension, maintaining good posture, learning to relax on command, keeping a positive outlook, and clearing the mind of stress and anxiety. No prior yoga experience necessary.
Yoga at the Wall
Yoga poses at the wall help with stretching, balancing, and strengthing. The wall creates external resistance, simultaneously it increases mechanical leverage to optimize both stretching and strength building. The wall gives needed support, taking fear out of the equation. This class is appropriate for beginners to more advanced students.
