The Bloom of the Present Moment
In this workshop we will explore mindfulness and its power to transform. We will link breath with movement to develop concentration and steadiness of mind. A steady mind creates a container for the blossoming of our spirit to unfold. The transition from the introverted winter season to the opening of spring is a time that encourages and naturally supports this process.
Workshop will include:
- Poses to stretch and release blockages, which create tension in the body, mind and spirit
- Strengthening poses to detoxify and work out restless, anxious energy
- Breathing exercises to develop a steady, strong mind muscle
- We will end with a guided meditation

About Samantha West
Samantha, based in NYC, leads classes encouraging personal growth via breath and alignment awareness. Having overcome crippling depression and drug addiction through her own practice, she shares the tools of yoga in the hope of helping others to free themselves and to find calm in the mental storm. Samantha is extremely grateful for the guidance of her primary teachers, Alan Finger and Jean Koerner of the ISHTA yoga lineage. |
