Presented by Nancy McCaochan, MA, ERYT-200, teaches weekly wall classes at Namaste Yoga in Royal Oak and at Karma Yoga in Bloomfield Twp, MI. She has recently published a book about how to use the wall to deepen one's experience of yoga postures.

Whether it be spiritual, emotional, or physical resistance we experience, we can all benefit from taking our yoga to the wall. A wall gives us support, teaches us about alignment, and cultivates sensitivity to our barriers. This workshop will present multiple ways in which a wall can enhance your practice.
We'll begin with postures that cultivate stability in the pelvic and shoulder girdles. Then we'll look at how the basics resonate through a slow flow of standing, balance, and core strengthening poses, with a discussion of how to link postures smoothly.
