| Brian Black, RYT |

|
When yoga was still considered a bad word in America, Brian Black discovered this ancient wisdom through the venerable Swami Satchitananda. This lanky gray-haired man wrote the book that ignited Brian's initial practice, which consisted mostly of sun salutations and a few simple postures. A decade later, Brian was introduced to meditation and began to experience the bliss therein; soon he was teaching the yoga of meditation himself. Once running took its toll on his knees, in 1998, just to get rid of aches and pains, he wandered into Namaste Yoga Studio in Royal Oak, Michigan. It was love at first sight, and a few years later he completed yoga shala (teacher training) at that same studio. In 2001, Brian was initiated by an Enlightened Master from India, and has been practicing Isha Yoga under his tutelage ever since. He looks so forward to meeting you and assisting you on your journey towards the realization of your Boundless Nature. |

| Tanya Thunberg, RYT, LMSW |

|
In her youth, Tanya began exploring the joyful rhythms of the body/mind connection through dance and gymnastics. A beloved modern dance teacher introduced her to asana practice in 1991, and by 1999 her attention was captivated by the deep inner stillness that arrives through practicing the art and science of yoga. The deep listening of Kripalu, the dance of Vinyasa, and the alignment of Anusara are her treasured movement teachers. Her classes combine the exploration of postures, breath technique, and meditation while cultivating a focused yet compassionate attitude. The heart beat of each class is learning to embrace the awareness of being already at one, in union, free. She received her teaching certification from Kripalu Yoga Center in Massachusetts in 2006. |
We at evolve yoga studio are always looking for RYT-certified instructors with the desire to share the transformative power of Yoga with others. Contact us at jobs@evolve-yoga.net Please include a resume with all requests.
